“Dok-1 Max” case: Sardor Qoriyev was imprisoned for 18 years

12513In the "Dok-1 Max" case, Sardor Qoriyev, the former chief of the pharmaceutical agency, received an 18-year prison sentence. Journalist Sevara Husniddinova from QALAMPIR.UZ reported this development from the courtroom.
Currently, the final court session regarding the "Dok-1 Max case" is underway at the Tashkent city court. Judge Musa Yusupov, presiding over the criminal trial panel, announced the court's decision, which included a 2-year and 6-month ban on holding leadership positions in state agencies for Sardor Qoriyev, in addition to the 18-year imprisonment.
This case involves the prosecution of 23 individuals who worked in the pharmaceutical sector. They were responsible for inspecting the contents of medications, importing "Dok-1 Max" syrup, and other drugs from India, which were found to contain toxic substances harmful to consumers in Uzbekistan.
As per reports, 86 children suffered injuries from consuming these medications. Among them, 68 fatalities occurred, 16 suffered severe injuries, and 2 experienced minor injuries.
It's worth noting that over 30 individuals were implicated in the investigation, detained preventatively following the children's deaths linked to the consumption of "Dok-1 Max.”
