Oliy Majlis approves Dilnozaxon Kattaxonova for senior position

On July 10, Dilnozaxon Kattaxonova was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairwoman of the Family and Women’s Committee. The relevant decree was signed by the President of Uzbekistan.

At the next session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, deputies considered and approved the candidacy of Dilnozaxon Kattaxonova for the position of Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and Chairwoman of the Family and Women’s Committee.

After that, by presidential decree, Dilnozaxon Sobir qizi Kattaxonova was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairwoman of the Family and Women’s Committee. In connection with this appointment, she was relieved of her position as First Deputy Director of the Youth Affairs Agency of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with current legislation, before members of the Cabinet of Ministers and ministers are appointed to their positions, their candidacies are considered by deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

For reference, Dilnozaxon Kattaxonova was born on July 2, 1991, in the city of Kokand. In 2014, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek. From 2016 to 2017, she worked as Chief Specialist of the Department for the Development of International Relations and Support for Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations at the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan.

On July 5, 2017, at a meeting of the Republican Council on Youth Issues, Dilnozaxon Kattaxonova was elected Deputy Chairwoman of the Central Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan. Since 2018, she has also been an independent researcher at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

On July 10, 2020, Kattaxonova was appointed Deputy Director of the newly established Youth Affairs Agency of Uzbekistan. Since December 20, 2023, she had been serving as First Deputy Director of the Youth Affairs Agency.

Earlier, it was reported that Zulayho Bahriddinovna Mahkamova had been relieved of her position as Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairwoman of the Family and Women’s Committee.
