Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairwoman of the Family and Women’s Committee Zulayho Bahriddinovna Mahkamova has been dismissed from her post. A source in the government told QALAMPIR.UZ.
For reference, Zulayho Mahkamova was born on August 29, 1968, in Yangiqorgon district of Namangan region. From 2011 to 2017, she served as chairwoman of the Federation of Trade Union Organizations of Namangan region. In 2017-2018, she worked as deputy governor of the region and chairwoman of the regional Women’s Committee.
From April 24, 2018, Mahkamova served as first deputy chairwoman of the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan, and from March 4, 2020, she became acting governor of Torakorgon district. She is considered the fifth female governor in Uzbekistan.
From March 1, 2022, to July 10, 2026, she served as chairwoman of the reorganized Family and Women’s Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
