Ten people rescued from snowstorm in Dehqonobod

Rescue teams from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations have saved ten people who were trapped in a snowstorm in the Kashkadarya region, the ministry’s press service reported.
According to the information, at around 6:00 p.m. on January 23, the Kashkadarya Regional Department of Emergency Situations received a distress call. The report stated that due to strong winds, a snowstorm had formed on a road passing through the Mustaqillik mahalla area of Dehqonobod district, causing several vehicles to become immobilized and leaving people in need of urgent assistance.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene using special off-road vehicles and evacuated ten individuals who were stranded in difficult conditions, transporting them to a safe area.
Earlier, reports indicated that a powerful snowstorm had affected several parts of Europe.
