Electricity will not be cut off for consumers with waste service debts

9841On November 1, reports circulated on social media suggesting that consumers with outstanding waste service debts would have their electricity cut off. However, JSC "Territorial Electric Networks" refuted these claims, stating that such disconnections will not occur.
According to JSC "Territorial Electric Networks," there is no basis to disconnect electricity services due to waste service debts.
The Waste Management and Circular Economy Development Agency under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change announced the launch of the new "Toza Makon-billing" software. From October 31 to November 5, technical adjustments are being made, which may cause temporary interruptions in waste service payments and updates to personal data.
The Waste Management and Circular Economy Development Agency was created under the Presidential Decree "On Measures to Ensure Transparency in Ecology and Environmental Protection and to Improve the Management System," issued on September 26.
Earlier, it was announced that beginning June 1, 2024, consumers in Uzbekistan with six months of unpaid waste service bills in Tashkent, Nukus, and regional centers would face payment restrictions for electricity. From November 1, 2024, restrictions will apply in all regions for three months of waste debt, and from January 1, 2025, restrictions will extend to one month of unpaid waste service bills across Uzbekistan.
