Cavusoğlu praises the outcomes of the conference on Afghanistan

On 2 August, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mavlud Cavusoglu, who came to our country to participate in the first meeting of the dialogue format "Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey".

It was noted at the meeting that the relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey are performing well and are enriched with new practical content thanks to the determination and reliable communication of the leaders of the two countries - Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

During the dialogue, special attention was paid to the implementation of the agreements reached at a high level, increasing the volume of mutual trade, implementing investment projects in various sectors of the economy, and expanding cultural-humanitarian and tourism exchanges.

It was noted that Uzbekistan and Turkey are interested in developing cooperation within the framework of international institutions.

Opinions were exchanged on the situation in the world and the country.  The Turkish delegation highly appreciated the results of the conference on Afghanistan held in Tashkent.  It was recognized that both sides are ready to continue coordinating efforts in the direction of Afghanistan and provide humanitarian aid to this country.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey recognized the importance of holding the first meeting of the "Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey" dialogue in Tashkent with the participation of heads of ministries responsible for foreign policy, trade, economy, and transport.

Planned bilateral and multilateral events, including organizational aspects of preparation for the summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Samarkand, were considered.
