Person promising jobs in the UK was detained

A resident of Namangan region who received $12,000 from four citizens of Samarkand, promising to send them to work in the United Kingdom, has been detained. This was reported by the State Security Service.  

The suspect, born in 1998 and residing in the city of Kosonsoy, Namangan region, was caught during an operation conducted by the State Security Service in cooperation with the Department for Combating Economic Crimes. The individual was apprehended with material evidence while accepting $12,000 in exchange for promises to facilitate employment in the UK through official connections, along with assistance in securing necessary documents and visas.  

A criminal case has been initiated against the individual under Article 168 (Fraud), Part 3, Clause “a,” and Article 28,211 (Bribery), Part 2, Clause “b” of the Criminal Code. Investigations are ongoing.  

It is worth noting that earlier, in the Payarik district of the Samarkand region, two citizens deceived another individual by promising jobs in the United States and acquiring the victim's house in return.
