The prices of meat, potatoes and onions have increased in the markets

As of 18 January, 2023, the prices of several products in the markets have increased.  This was reported by the State Statistics Committee.

Prices are compared to 16 December 2022.

According to the results of the observation in the regional central farmers’ markets, the minimum-maximum prices of certain types of food products:

 Bone-in beef (1 kg) 49,500-80,000 soms (increased by 1,500-2,000 soms)
 Mutton (1 kg) 54,000 – 91,000 soms (increased by 1,000 soms)
 Potatoes (1 kg) 3500 – 7000 soms (increased by 1000 soms)
 Onions (1 kg) 3,500 – 10,000 soms (increased to 4,500 soms)
 Carrots (1 kg) 2,500 – 5,500 soms (increased by 500 soms)
 Eggs (10 pieces) 11,000 – 18,000 soms (increased by 1,000 soms)
 Rice (1 kg) 6,500 – 28,000 soms (increased by 1,000 soms)
 Vegetable oil (1L 16,000 – 30,000 soms) and sugar (1kg 11,000 – 14,000 soms) decreased by 1,000 soms.

It should be noted that the “EastFruit” publication predicted that the price of onions will increase due to the cold weather in Uzbekistan.
