Starting from April 1, all types of bicycles and scooters will be prohibited from operating داخل the Botanical Garden in Tashkent, according to the Academy of Sciences.
The academy said that recently there have been frequent incidents in the garden involving people falling from bicycles and scooters and sustaining injuries of varying severity.
In this connection, and based on numerous requests from visitors as well as a decision by the scientific council, the movement of all types of bicycles and scooters within the garden will be stopped.
“This measure is being introduced to create a safe, calm and peaceful environment for pedestrian walks in the garden for all of us. All conditions will be preserved so that you can enjoy the beauty of nature on foot in peace,” the statement said.
Citizens were also asked to comply with the new rules and not remain indifferent to safety.
It is worth noting that earlier, under the Yashil Makon project, Uzbekistan had planned to establish another 12 botanical gardens and 16 dendrology parks.
