Who will compete with the Uzbeks in the first round of the World Boxing Championship?

9117Yesterday, 30th April, the draw was made for the World Boxing Championship among adults, hosted by the city of Tashkent.
The opponents for Uzbekistan's 13 weight categories in boxing have bee announced. Shadiyorjon Melikoziyev will face Sanjar Tashkenbay from Kazakhstan in the 48 kg category. While Hasanboy Dosmatov, the winner of the Rio 2016 Olympics, will take on Castenada Jimenez from Mexico in the 51 kg category. Aybek Jorayev will fight Tamir Galanov from Serbia in the 54 kg category and Abdumalik Halakov will face the winner of the bout between Alikok from Guinea and Gilzhanov from Turkmenistan in the 57 kg category.
- Mujbillo Tursunov will compete against Singh Varinder from India in the 60 kg category, and Saidjamshid Jafarov will fight against Mozambican representative Muhan in the -71 kg category. Ruslan Abdullayev will compete in the 1/16 finals in the 63.5 kg weight category, and he will face Phoebus from Puerto Rico. Asadkhoja Moydinkhojayev will fight the winner of the bout between Japan’s Muka Wakita and Poland’s Szot in the 67 kg category.
- In the 75 kg category, Alokhan Abdullayev will compete against Chinese Jaoga, while Jasur Yoldoshev will compete with Algerian Nemochi in the qualifying match in the 80 kg category. Shahjakhan Abdullayev will fight with Nlandu Mbeli from Africa in the 86 kg, and Lazizbek Mullajonov will fight with Colorado Urtado from Colombia in the - 92 kg category. Bahadir Jalolov, who will defend the honor of Uzbekistan in the super heavyweight category, will start his participation in the semi-finals against the winner of the bout between Turkmenistan's Baki Toychiyev and Bahrain's Danis Latipov.
- On the first day of the World Cup, Mujbillo Tursunov will only paticipate in the 60 kg category, and his fight is expected to begin after 7:30 p.m Tashkent time.
