Tapil Ravshanovich Mahamadziyoyev, who served as the mayor of Bektemir district in Tashkent city, has been relieved of his duties. This decision was made today, February 6, by the Acting Mayor of Tashkent, Shavkat Umurzakov.

The reason behind Mahamadziyoev's dismissal was not provided in the mayor's statement. According to Article 2 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Local State Power," the document simply states that the governor of Bektemir district is being removed from office.

It's worth noting that Tapil Mahamadziyoyev had been serving in this position since June 2021.

To recall, during a video conference meeting held on January 16, chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoev, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov was tasked with evaluating whether the governor of Bektemir District was suitable for the position among several other mayors.
