The verdict for the head of “Avto 60 Oy” and “Humo Vaynes” was announced

14594On July 9, the Olmazor District Court held a public trial for Bahadirov Jamshid Bakhtiyorovich, the head of "Avto 60 Oy" LLC, Humoyun Makhamadjonov, a blogger known as "Humo Vaynes," and Alimjonov, the head of "Media+24" LLC. The trial concluded with the announcement of the verdict. This information was shared with QALAMPIR.UZ by Zokirjon Qoziboyev, the press secretary of the Tashkent City Courts.
The court found Jamshid Bahodirov guilty of the charges under Article 168, Part 4, Clause "v" (Fraud) and Article 243 (Legalization of proceeds from criminal activities) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.
Jamshid Bahodirov received a sentence of 9 years and 8 months in prison, as per Articles 60 and 61 of the Criminal Code. This sentence, which was previously incomplete following the Chilonzor District Court's judgment on March 29, 2021, will be served in strict order colonies.
Alimjonov was convicted under Article 168, Part 4, Clause "v" (Fraud) and Article 243 (Legalization of proceeds from criminal activities) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. He received a sentence of 8 years and 6 months in prison, with partial addition of sentences, according to Article 59.
Humoyun Makhamadjonov was also found guilty under Article 168, Part 4, Clause "v" (Fraud) and Article 243 (Legalization of proceeds from criminal activities) of the Criminal Code. He was sentenced to 8 years and 6 months in prison, with partial addition of punishments, in accordance with Article 59.
Compensation has been awarded to the victims and civil plaintiffs.
Any party dissatisfied with the verdict has ten days from the announcement, or from the day they receive a copy of the verdict, to appeal to the criminal trial panel of the Tashkent City Court. Once the verdict is in force, they can appeal through the cassation procedure, and the prosecutor may file a protest.
It is worth noting that in March 2021, Jamshid Bahodirov was sentenced to 8 years in prison in a criminal case involving the head and officials of "Avto 60 Oy" LLC.
