The Karshi City Criminal Court has issued a ruling to place Kamoliddin Murodov, the former Chairman of the Denov District Criminal Court, on the wanted list after he failed to appear for a court session. QALAMPIR.UZ obtained the court document detailing the decision.

Murodov, who faces charges under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code (violation of the rules for the safe use of vehicles, resulting in the death of a person), did not attend the court session as scheduled, despite being warned. On December 13, the court issued an order for his compulsory appearance.

When authorities went to his permanent residence in the "Orikzor" residential complex in Samarkand, they found Murodov absent. The act filed by the chairman and employees of the mahalla on December 13 stated that Murodov was not at home due to treatment. However, neither Murodov nor his defense attorneys provided any documents to the court to confirm the postponement of the hearing or prove the deterioration of his health.

The court declared a search for Murodov after he went missing, and it became clear that the case could not proceed without his participation.

Once Murodov is located, the preventive measure of good behavior previously imposed by the preliminary investigation body will be changed to detention, and he will be transferred to pre-trial detention center No. 5 in Karshi. The criminal case against him is currently suspended until he is found.

Murodov, who was involved in a serious accident on March 9, 2024, suffered severe injuries in the crash. The driver, a lawyer associated with Murodov, tragically died in the accident.

For reference, Murodov was appointed as the chairman of the Denov District Criminal Court in April 2021 for a five-year term.
