Berdimuhamedov concludes successful visit to Uzbekistan

3442The visit of Turkmenistan's national leader and Chairman of the People's Council, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to Samarkand concluded on April 24. At the Samarkand International Airport, Berdimuhamedov was seen off by Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
During the two-day visit, President Mirziyoyev and Berdimuhamedov held bilateral talks, explored the "Eternal City" Historical-Ethnographic Complex, and visited the "Echo of Times" Exhibition.
A formal ceremony was also held to present Berdimuhamedov with Uzbekistan's highest state award—the "Order of Supreme Friendship."
After the conclusion of the visit, President Mirziyoyev returned to Tashkent.
Earlier, Saida Mirziyoyeva, the eldest daughter of President Mirziyoyev and a presidential aide, met with Oguljahon Otaboyeva, the eldest daughter of Berdimuhamedov, in Samarkand. Together, they visited the "Inson" Social Services Center and an inclusive education center, where they reviewed efforts to support socially vulnerable groups and ensure equal access to education. Saida Mirziyoyeva also congratulated Berdimuhamedov on receiving the "Order of Supreme Friendship."
Before arriving in Uzbekistan, Berdimuhamedov visited Kazakhstan on April 21, where he was welcomed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at Turkistan Airport. The two leaders visited the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Mausoleum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and held informal talks on April 22, focusing on expanding cooperation in the gas sector, including Kazakhstan's participation in the development of the Galkynysh gas field.
Following his visit to Kazakhstan, Berdimuhamedov traveled to Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, where he was received by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov. The two leaders held discussions and attended cultural events, including traditional Kyrgyz equestrian games such as "Jorgo Salish" and "Kok Boru". Japarov later accompanied Berdimuhamedov to Issyk-Kul International Airport.
