The response to the emergency hospitalization of 18 kindergarten children in Angren is expressed

Earlier, it was reported that a total of 18 pupils from three state-run preschool education organizations in Angren, Tashkent region, were admitted to the hospital with symptoms of diarrhea. The Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee swiftly responded to the situation.

At the Department of Infectious Diseases of Angren City Hospital, starting from September 13, 2023, at 14:00 and continuing until September 14, 21:00, children who attend preschool education organization No. 10 in the city presented symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, elevated body temperature, and frequent diarrhea.

Out of these cases, 24 children were hospitalized with the initial diagnosis of "food poisoning or functional stomach disorder," while 7 received primary medical care and were allowed to return home.

Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee personnel collected samples from patients who visited the Department of Infectious Diseases for laboratory tests. Additionally, samples were taken from food products stored in the kindergarten's warehouse.

A total of 240 pupils from this kindergarten underwent comprehensive medical examinations by healthcare professionals, leading to the temporary suspension of the preschool educational organization's activities.

The Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee has maintained full control over the situation.
