BelAZ overturns and catches fire in Angren

A tragic accident occurred at the Angren coal mine in Tashkent region on March 5, resulting in the death of a BelAZ dump truck driver. According to “Uzbekkumir” JSC, the incident took place at approximately 10:15 AM when the truck, while unloading rock formations, slipped backward, overturned, and caught fire.
Firefighters from “Uzbekkumir” quickly arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze. The driver, identified as A. Akhmadjonov, sustained severe injuries. Despite receiving first aid from the company’s medical staff and being urgently transported to the city’s central hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
Law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
