On the evening of February 26, a fire broke out at the "World Market" (Jahon bozori) shopping complex in Andijan, as reported by the Andijan Regional Emergencies Department.
At 20:10, the Fire Department received a report about a fire in a store on Nayman Street in Andijan City. Firefighters arrived at the scene within two minutes, and by 20:35, the blaze was fully extinguished.
The fire damaged the store’s ceiling and roof, affecting an area of 80 square meters and destroying items inside. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of material damage.
It is worth noting that a similar incident occurred earlier in the Chilanzor district of Tashkent, where a fire broke out in a building under construction. No casualties were reported in that incident either.
