Young men were arrested for drug dealing in Andijan (video)

Two individuals, aged 18 and 28, have been arrested for drug dealing in the Andijan region, according to a report by the Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
On October 8, 2024, a 28-year-old citizen from the city of Andijan was apprehended while attempting to sell 100.85 grams of hashish for 240,000 soums. The illicit drug was seized as evidence.
In another incident, on October 16, 2024, an 18-year-old resident of Andijan was caught selling 0.87 grams of hashish for 500,000 soums.
Following these arrests, criminal charges have been filed under part 2 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, which pertains to the illegal production, acquisition, storage, and distribution of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances. Investigations into both cases are ongoing.
Earlier, a similar drug-related arrest occurred in Samarkand, where individuals were also detained for selling narcotics.
