Courier distributing drugs was arrested in Tashkent

A courier involved in distributing narcotics has been apprehended in Tashkent, according to the city's Main Department of Internal Affairs.
The 24-year-old man, operating as a deposit (drug stash courier), was spotted by officers late at night in an abandoned area of the Almazor district. Upon inspection, a white powdery substance, wrapped in yellow tape, was found near him.
The suspect admitted that he had been recruited for the job via Instagram, where he was promised a large income.
"A man introduced himself as a curator. He provided me with an address to pick up the product and instructed me to wrap it in yellow tape. Then he told me to bury it at designated locations. I had only managed to plant two," the suspect confessed.
A criminal case has been initiated against the individual under Part 5 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code (Illegal preparation, acquisition, storage, and other actions for the purpose of transferring narcotic drugs, their analogues, or psychotropic substances, as well as their illegal transfer). The suspect has been taken into custody.
It is worth noting that similar incidents of drug trafficking were reported in two districts of the Samarkand region earlier.
