8994A woman with a previous conviction in Andijan was apprehended by SSS officers while attempting to transport 9 kilograms and 57 grams of hashish to the city of Fergana. This information was reported by UzA.
According to the report, the State Security Service conducted a swift operation in Andijan city, during which they intercepted a woman with a previous conviction residing in the Altiariq district. She had obtained 9 kilograms and 57 grams of hashish from Kyrgyz drug couriers and was intending to transport it to Fergana city. Physical evidence was confiscated during her apprehension.
Additionally, as part of a joint operation involving the regional administration of Kashkadarya, regional internal affairs, and customs departments, a vehicle driven by a resident of the Denov district in Surkhandarya region was intercepted at the "Umakay" RPS facility in Kokdala district while en route to Tashkent city. The vehicle, a Cobalt car, was inspected in the presence of impartial officers, revealing 2 kilograms of opium and 550 grams of hashish in the trunk. The findings were properly documented.
Following this, further operational measures were taken, resulting in the arrest of an individual residing in the Denov district. The person was apprehended in Tashkent city while receiving the narcotics that had been brought from Tajikistan.
During operational and search activities conducted by Namangan regional administration personnel in collaboration with customs and internal affairs authorities, a resident of the Uchkurgan district was inspected with the participation of witnesses. As a result, it was discovered that this individual had imported 1 kilogram and 390 grams of hashish from Kyrgyzstan through undisclosed means. The substance was duly processed in accordance with legal procedures. The citizen had intended to sell the narcotic substance for $12,000.
Simultaneously, a local citizen was apprehended for selling 974 grams of hashish for $10,000 in a swift operation conducted by the Department of State Security for Tashkent city and Fergana region, in cooperation with customs authorities in Kokan city.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect had obtained the substance from another citizen, who was subsequently arrested as well. The narcotic substance was determined to have been imported from Kyrgyzstan.
Presently, the local investigation departments of the State Security Service have initiated criminal cases against these individuals under Articles 246 (Smuggling) and 273 (Illegal preparation, acquisition, storage for the purpose of transferring narcotic drugs, their analogues, or psychotropic substances), along with other related charges, including illegal transfer. Detention measures have been applied, and ongoing investigative actions are being carried out.
