On January 13, it was reported that the trial for seven employees detained for 15 days on charges of petty hooliganism in connection with the assassination attempt on Komil Allamjonov had been postponed.

Lawyer Davronbek Saidov, who has been providing information on the case, stated that the employees had no involvement in the assassination attempt, yet they were punished and denied legal representation. He also suggested that the court may have been influenced by external pressure.

“There are suspicions that external factors may have played a role in the absence of lawyers for these individuals. The officials who drafted the report on the administrative offense could not have made such a decision independently. We intend to file a petition with the court on January 23 requesting a private ruling on the violation of rights, followed by a legal assessment of these violations. An appeal has already been submitted to the Prosecutor General's Office regarding potential external pressure. Once the written complaint is reviewed, we will be able to provide more detailed information,” said Saidov.

Earlier, Saidov also claimed that the seven detained employees had been tortured while in custody.
