Qobul Dusov’s case reviewed in appellate court

7857On March 11, 2025, the Tashkent City Court reviewed the appeal in the case against former deputy Qobul Dusov. This was reported by Aziz Obidov, the press secretary of the Supreme Court.
According to the report, the Judicial Panel for Criminal Cases of the Tashkent City Court upheld, without changes, the decision issued by the Yashnobod District Criminal Court on January 24, 2025, regarding Qobul Dusov, who was born in 1984 in Samarkand region.
It was noted that dissatisfied parties have the right to file a supervisory complaint or protest with the Judicial Panel for Criminal Cases of the Tashkent City Court.
As a reminder, based on the ruling of the Chilonzor District Criminal Court on November 22, 2024, Qobul Dusov was found guilty under Article 140, Part 3, Clause “a” (Insult) of the Criminal Code and was sentenced to one year of restricted freedom. On January 24, 2025, Qobul Dusov was arrested in the Samarkand region. By the decision of the Yashnobod District Criminal Court dated January 24, 2025, the unserved 11 months and 2 days of his restricted freedom sentence was replaced with the same term of imprisonment to be served in a penal colony.
On February 24, 2025, the Arnasoy District Criminal Court held a public hearing on Qobul Do‘sov’s case and announced its verdict. The court found Qobul Dusov guilty of committing crimes against four victims (officials of the Jizzakh Regional Preschool and School Education Department system—N. Yalgasheva, O. Kamolova, Sh. Khasanova, and S. Suyarova). He was convicted under Article 139, Part 3, Clause “a” (Defamation), and Article 140, Part 3, Clause “a” (Insult) of the Criminal Code.
According to Articles 59 (Sentencing for Multiple Crimes), Part 8 of Article 59, and Article 61 (Rules for Calculating Combined Sentences), Qobul Dusov was sentenced to a total of 1 year and 2 months of imprisonment, to be served in a penal colony.
