Albania and Burundi appoint new ambassadors to Uzbekistan

Genc Peçani has been appointed Albania’s new ambassador to Uzbekistan, while Joseph Nkurunziza has become Burundi’s new ambassador. Yesterday, on November 27, they presented copies of their letters of credence to Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister, Bakhtiyor Saidov. The minister reported this on his social media pages.
According to reports, during the meeting between the Foreign Minister and the Albanian ambassador, the discussion focused on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, education, and cultural exchange. Both sides expressed a shared commitment to support new initiatives that would strengthen political dialogue and deepen the bilateral partnership.
Talks with Joseph Nkurunziza, Burundi’s first ambassador to Uzbekistan, were described as “productive and forward-looking.”
“We exchanged views on the growing potential of relations between our countries and also discussed ways to enhance cooperation within international and regional organizations,” the minister wrote.
It is worth noting that earlier, Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Fathudin Ali Mohamed, Somalia’s first ambassador to Uzbekistan.
