Somalia appoints first Ambassador to Uzbekistan

Fathudin Ali Mohamed, the first Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Uzbekistan, presented his credentials to Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov. The announcement was made by the minister on his Telegram channel.
During the meeting, both sides expressed commitment to further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in numerous promising areas between the two countries.
“We wish the ambassador great success in his important diplomatic mission and look forward to developing effective and results-oriented cooperation together,” the statement said.
For reference, earlier, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh (residing in New Delhi), Sardor Rustamboev, presented his credentials to Bangladeshi President Muhammad Shahabuddin.
