Number of Uzbeks traveling to the US increased

In January–July of this year, a total of 8,000 Uzbek citizens traveled to the United States for tourism purposes, the National Statistics Committee reported.
This figure increased by 996 people, or 14.3 percent, compared to the same period last year.
During the first seven months of this year, the purposes of Uzbek citizens’ trips to the United States were as follows:
tourism – 5,683 people
visiting relatives – 1,978 people
study – 179 people
official business – 104 people
medical treatment – 23 people
It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that 39 Uzbek citizens who did not have the right to legally stay in the United States were deported.
