Man who killed a 3-year-old boy was arrested

A man has been arrested for the murder of a 3-year-old boy. Initially, it was reported that the 31-year-old man stabbed and killed the child, who was the son of his partner from a previous relationship. The man and the woman were living together without being legally married. The suspect has been detained as a precautionary measure, as confirmed by Aziz Obidov, spokesperson for the Supreme Court.
The Yashnobod District Prosecutor's Office has requested detention and a forensic psychiatric examination for the suspect, identified as M., under Article 97 (intentional murder), Part 2, Clauses "v" and "j" of the Criminal Code. M. was born in the Fergana region in 1993, is married, has a secondary-specialist education, and is currently unemployed.
On July 10, 2024, the court granted the requests, ordering M. to be detained and undergo a forensic psychiatric examination.
It's noteworthy that Alisher Qodirov, deputy speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and leader of the "MilliyTiklanish" faction of the democratic party, once stated that someone who abuses animals should not be allowed to live.
