Solar photovoltaic power plants will be built in 3 regions

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Chinese company and Uzbekistan on the construction of solar photoelectric plants with a total capacity of 2000 MW.  This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.

Today, 15 February, a memorandum of understanding was signed with a Chinese company on the construction of solar photoelectric plants with a total capacity of 2000 MW in the regions of Kashkadarya, Bukhara, and Samarkand.

Within the framework of this memorandum, the Chinese company will make direct investments of 2 billion dollars in the republic.

The first capacities of these solar photoelectric plants are planned to be put into operation by the end of this year, and the plants will start working at full capacity in 2024.
As a result, 5.2 billion kWh of electricity will be produced per year, and 1.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be saved.

It should be recalled that we reported earlier that from 1 September 2023, state organizations must switch to solar panels.
