13021This year, 210 applicants achieved the maximum score or higher in the state exams, according to a report by the Knowledge and Skills Assessment Agency.
A total of 740,352 applicants participated in the exams for the 2024/2025 academic year. Of these, more than 418,000, or 56.5 percent, scored above 56.7 points, qualifying them to compete for placements. This percentage has increased from 53.3 percent in 2023.
Among the top scorers, 210 applicants achieved a score of 189 or higher. Notably, 91 of these top scorers were graduates of the "Temurbek School" military-academic lyceum. The highest score recorded was 217.4, achieved by a graduate of the same lyceum, whose main subjects were history and foreign languages.
The breakdown of the 210 applicants who scored 189 or higher is as follows:
- 77 applicants took exams in history and foreign language as their main subjects.
- 43 applicants focused on biology and chemistry.
- 40 applicants took exams in their mother tongue, literature, and English language.
- 21 applicants specialized in the foundations of state law and a foreign language.
Additionally, 43,677 applicants (compared to 25,661 in 2023) held a foreign language certificate, with 76 of them achieving the maximum score.
Applicants with a national certificate of general education numbered 13,142 (up from 3,255 in 2023), with 118 of them receiving maximum points. The number of applicants holding both a national certificate in general education subjects and a foreign language certificate was 4,259 (355 in 2023), of whom 74 scored maximum points.
