For applicants from Karakalpakstan, an additional grant is allocated at higher education institutions

5196In the 2023-2024 academic year, an additional 3,000 places will be allocated based on a state grant for young people who permanently reside in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and have graduated from general secondary, secondary special, and professional educational organizations. This was determined by Decree No. PF-107 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, dated July 3.
It is stated that the need for highly educated personnel in various sectors and industries will be assessed, and proposals regarding higher education institutions and fields of study will be submitted to the State Commission for Admission to Educational Organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan by July 20, 2023.
For your information, a total of 206,857 applicants will be admitted to state higher education institutions in the current academic year. Of these, 43,783 will study on a grant basis, and 163,074 will study on a fee-contract basis. Compared to the previous year, the number of grants for full-time bachelor's degrees has increased by 10%, while the number of contracts has increased by 1%."
