Now, applicants first take an exam and then choose higher education institutions

Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, applicants first pass tests and then choose a higher education institution.  The relevant decision of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was adopted in this regard.

According to it, starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, the entrance exams to higher education institutions will be organized on the basis of the principle of “test first, then the selection”  will have the opportunity to choose the institution, direction and form of education.

Also, certificates based on the results of international exams in general education subjects are taken into account for admission to the state higher education institution.

According to the decision, from the 2023/2024 academic year, applicants will be given the right to choose one of the priorities of “state grant” or “educational field” and participate in the competition in the sequence of undergraduate educational fields according to the chosen priority.
