JSC was fined for violating law in 2.8 billion sums tender

The Competition Committee has imposed a financial penalty on "Tashkent Passenger Car Construction and Repair Plant" JSC, according to a statement by the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.

The statement notes that in 2024, the regional administration of Tashkent city conducted studies on public procurement, specifically examining the tender process for more than 2.8 billion sums carried out by JSC "Tashkent Passenger Car Construction and Repair Plant" through specialized information portals.

Based on the findings, a case was initiated against the organization for violating the requirements of Article 29 of the Law "On Competition." As a result, a decision was made to impose a financial penalty, and mandatory instructions were issued to rectify the violations and prevent their recurrence.

Additionally, an administrative report was filed against the official responsible for the violation, and the case was referred to the court for further consideration.

It is worth noting that a similar fine was previously imposed on "Amudaryotex" LLC, which was found to have violated the law in the sale of highly liquid and monopolistic products on the Stock Exchange.
