Kamchyk Pass closed: Road clearing underway (video)

On March 7, heavy snowfall led to the temporary closure of the Kamchyk Pass for vehicle movement. This update was announced by the Traffic Safety Department of the Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs.

According to the report, starting at 3:00 PM, the section of the A-373 international highway passing through the Kamchyk Pass has been closed to traffic.

“Specialized equipment will be used to clear the road of snow,” the statement noted.

Further updates regarding the reopening of the pass for transportation will be provided in due course.

Reminder for Drivers: Drivers traveling through the Kamchyk Pass have previously been advised to adhere to speed limits and maintain safe distances between vehicles.
