“Pillmaker” criminal group arrested in Tashkent (video)

7957A criminal group involved in the sale of powerful drugs has been arrested in the Sergeli and Yashnabad districts of Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the Rapid Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the report, on January 15-16 of this year, operatives from the Rapid Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the State Security Service and the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate, carried out operational activities in the Sergeli and Yashnabad districts of Tashkent.
Two individuals, born in 1993 and 1999, were stopped and checked on Khanabad Street in the Sergeli district. During the inspection, 286 powerful drugs were found in their possession.
The investigation revealed that these individuals had purchased the drugs from an online drug store operating on the Telegram social network. Following this, on January 16, two additional suspects, born in 1998 and 1999, were arrested in the Yashnabad district. Their residences were searched, and 857 powerful drugs were confiscated.
Further investigation revealed that the arrested individuals had sold powerful drugs to a person born in 1996, who was previously convicted under Article 251 of the Criminal Code. When he was stopped and checked in the Olmos neighborhood, 500 drugs were found in his possession.
In total, 1,643 powerful drugs, with an estimated retail value of 131.4 million sums, were seized during the operation. The investigation is ongoing.
It is worth noting that earlier, in the Andijan and Fergana regions as well as in Tashkent city, authorities had successfully blocked the sale of 14,000 psychotropic and powerful drugs.
