Telegram’s short t.me links have stopped working worldwide. Pavel Durov announced this on his X page.
It was noted that on the night of July 14, Telegram’s t.me domain was removed from the global DNS system. After that, links created through this domain for channels, groups, profiles and invitations stopped working.
Telegram founder Pavel Durov contacted the operator of the .me domain zone regarding the issue.
“Hello, @domainME. t.me links stopped working. Can you check this?” Durov wrote.
So far, the official reason why the t.me domain stopped working has not been announced. The operator of the .me domain zone has also not commented on the situation.
As a temporary solution, Telegram has started generating new links through the telegram.me domain. Now, when a channel, post or profile link is copied in the app, the telegram.me address is shown instead of t.me.
The issue is not related to the expiration of the domain. The t.me domain is registered under Telegram’s name until May 2035, and its name servers have not changed.
Earlier, it was reported that on November 18, 2025, social networks, online games and streaming services around the world stopped working due to a major outage at Cloudflare.
