Five deputy positions have been introduced under the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This is outlined in the Presidential Decree “On Measures to Increase Efficiency, Proactivity, and Effectiveness in the Public Administration System”, signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The decree also approved a new structure for the Presidential Administration. As part of the reform, 284 staff positions were reduced within the Administration and its affiliated organizations, and redundant roles were eliminated.

According to the decree, five priority areas have been identified for the Presidential Administration: education, business, the judiciary, healthcare, and water resources. To ensure the effective implementation of reforms in these sectors, five deputy positions have been established to assist the Head of the Administration.

In addition, the decree introduces new positions of Advisor to the President on Strategic Development and Advisor on Foreign Policy. New departments have also been created to oversee key areas, including:

  •  Financial technologies,
  •  Digitalization and artificial intelligence,
  •  Development of the creative economy and tourism,
  •  Public safety and the rule of law,
  •  Event organization,
  •  Preparation of analytical content for regional meetings and visits,
  •  Communications and public outreach.

It is worth recalling that last month, a presidential decree introduced changes to the structure of the Presidential Administration, including the establishment of the position of  Head of the Presidential Administration. By the same decree, Saida Shavkatovna Mirziyoyeva was appointed to this newly created post.
