First deputy chairman of the Supreme Court replaced

Based on the decision of the Senate, Alisher Usmonov has been elected first deputy chairman of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan and chairman of the Judicial panel for a term of five years, the press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis reported.
It was noted that at the 10th plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, changes to the composition of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan were also considered.
Alisher Usmonov was elected as first deputy chairman of the Supreme Court and chairman of the Judicial panel, while Ikrom Muslimov was relieved of his duties as first deputy chairman of the Supreme Court and chairman of the Judicial panel. Nodira Hakimova was also dismissed from her position as a judge of the Supreme Court.
Alisher Usmonov was born in 1964. Throughout his career, he has served as Chairman of the Kosonsoy district court, Prosecutor of Mingbuloq district, Head of the public reception office in Namangan region, and deputy State adviser to the President on matters of protecting citizens’ rights, overseeing and coordinating work with appeals from individuals and legal entities.
It is worth noting that earlier, some sources reported that Ikrom Muslimov had suffered a stroke. Later, Aziz Obidov, the press secretary of the Supreme Court, commented on these reports, stating that they did not correspond to reality.
