Starting from 9:00 AM on March 6, methane gas stations in Uzbekistan will begin resuming operations step by step, according to a statement from the Ministry of Energy.

It was noted that in early March, a sharp drop in temperatures across Uzbekistan led to increased natural gas consumption and a decrease in gas pipeline pressure. To prioritize the supply of natural gas to residential and social facilities, the operation of methane gas filling stations was temporarily suspended.

“Thanks to the prompt measures taken in recent days, gas pressure in the pipelines has been normalized, allowing methane gas stations to resume their operations,” the statement reads.

The Ministry also extended its apologies to consumers for the inconvenience caused by the situation.

It is worth recalling that earlier, an incident involving an air-gas mixture explosion occurred at a gas filling station in Shahrixon district of Andijan region.
