IAD provides a final report on the case of a farmer who was found dead

Earlier, it was reported that a 42-year-old woman and her child were killed, and their house was burned down in the Uzun district of the Surkhandarya region. On February 25, the 50-year-old farmer Tohirjon Khayitov, who was involved in the investigation into this case, was handed over to his family dead. Later, it was reported that Tohirjon Khayitov died of a heart attack, and an inquiry was filed with the prosecutor's office regarding his death. The Ombudsman of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) provided a final report on this case.

According to the final information provided to the Ombudsman, the district prosecutor's office has completed its pre-investigation investigation into the death of citizen Tohirjon Khayitov, which occurred on February 25 of this year at the Saryosiyo district medical association.

According to the conclusion of the forensic medical examination dated March 17 of this year, the death of Tohirjon Khayitov was caused by a rupture of the cardiosclerosis focus on the anterior wall of the right ventricle of the heart due to hypertension, cardiac tamponade, that is, filling the pericardium with blood and blood clots, and compression of the heart in the pericardium. The conclusion also indicated that there were no injuries or traces of injuries on the body of the deceased.

According to the results of the examination, since no criminal element was identified in the actions of any person in this case, on March 25 of this year, a decision was made to refuse to initiate a criminal case in accordance with Article 83, Paragraph 2 (Grounds for Rehabilitation) of the Criminal Procedure Code.

For information, on February 15, a 42-year-old woman and her child were killed in the Uzun district of the Surkhandarya region, and their house was burned down. On February 23, at approximately 12:00, Tohirjon Khayitov was taken from his home in Uzun district for investigation within the framework of this case. Two days later, on February 25, he was handed over to his family in a dead state. Khayitov's body was found in the morgue in Saryosiyo district.

It should be recalled that earlier it was reported that convict T.I., who was serving his sentence in residential colony No. 50 in Piskent district of Tashkent region, was tortured by colony employees and then unjustifiably placed in a disciplinary unit.
