Juraev case details
In early February of this year, Botir Kodirov filed a lawsuit to establish paternity to protect his mother’s honor and dignity.
The case was initially scheduled for April 15 before Judge Utanboeva at the Uchtepa Interdistrict Civil Court. However, the defendant’s representative, Zohirshoh Juraev, requested a postponement to review the case. The first court session took place on April 23. During this session, the plaintiff’s representative testified, and the case was postponed until May 2 to gather additional witnesses and evidence.
The lawsuit includes an expert opinion from the Sulaymanova Republican Forensic Center dated September 29, 2023, which states that Halimjon Nurmatov and Botir Sheralievich Kodirov are cousins.
Botir Kodirov indicated that the lawsuit was prompted by an insulting social media post from Shohjahon Juraev, the eldest son of the late Sherali Juraev.
According to Kodirov's producer, Asror Isokhujaev, the post led Kodirov to sue the family of the late artist Sherali Juraev.
QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to Halimjon Nurmatov, Sherali Juraev’s brother, for clarification. He denied that a DNA test was conducted to confirm the cousin's relationship with Botir Kodirov.
In an interview with QALAMPIR.UZ, Botir Kodirov asserted that Sherali Juraev is undoubtedly his father. Kodirov claimed that he and his father had a strained relationship before Kodirov turned 20 and that he has all the evidence needed to prove paternity.
