In Jizzakh, 21 people were fined nearly 34 million soums for their involvement in throwing waste into the water in Zomin district of the Jizzakh region. This was reported by the information service of the Ministry of Ecology.

The Department of Ecology of the Jizzakh region received an appeal regarding the situation related to the dumping of waste into the water in the Zomin district. After conducting an investigation, several violations were identified, including water pollution in recreation areas, dumping of waste in unspecified places, violation of the water protection regime in water collection facilities, and discharge of sewage into water bodies.

As a consequence of these cases, administrative proceedings were initiated against the 21 individuals, citing Article 72 (Violation of water resources protection rules), Part 1, Article 65 (Improper use of land or making it unusable) Part 4, and Article 91/1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, which pertains to the violation of requirements of nature protection during the collection, transportation, placement, neutralization, storage, disposal, processing, sale of industrial waste, household waste, and other waste. In the end, they were collectively fined 33.99 million soums.
