Strong start: Uzbekistan U-17 secures 4-1 win against Thailand

On April 3, Uzbekistan’s U-17 national football team defeated Thailand 4–1 in the first round of Group A matches at the AFC U-17 Asian Cup, held in Saudi Arabia.
In the 2nd minute of the match, Sadriddin Hasanov opened the scoring, followed by Nurbek Sarsenbaev doubling the lead in the 12th minute. Toward the end of the first half, in the 40th minute, Thai player Silvia Mekes narrowed the gap. However, in the second half, Asilbek Aliev scored Uzbekistan’s third goal in the 80th minute, and Abubakir Shukurullaev sealed the victory with a final goal in the 85th minute, making it 4–1.
Under the leadership of coach Islam Ismoilov, the Uzbekistan U-17 national team began the tournament on a winning note.
Uzbekistan’s U-17 team will face China in their next match on April 6. The game is scheduled to kick off at 8:00 PM Tashkent time.
