The authorities of the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, are assisting in organizing the funeral ceremony and transporting the bodies of the victims of the fire that occurred in the hostel on Adi Sharipov Street. This information was reported on the government's Telegram channel.


"The administration of Almaty is taking all measures to support the victims and evacuees. Temporary housing has been provided, meals have been organized, and necessary medical and psychological assistance has been fully provided," the report stated.


It is emphasized that, following the order of the city mayor, Erbolat Dosayev, the mayor's office is facilitating the transportation of deceased bodies to specified locations, including other regions of the republic. Additionally, complete assistance will be provided in organizing a funeral ceremony in Almaty.


It is known that 13 people lost their lives in the fire—9 citizens of Kazakhstan, 2 citizens of Russia, and 2 citizens of Uzbekistan. The administration did not specify whether the assistance offered to the families of the deceased also extends to foreign citizens.


As of now, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the country's diplomatic missions in Kazakhstan have not released a statement regarding the fire and the death of the two Uzbeks.
