Dilmurod Rahmatullaev, the former mayor of Andijan, who was appointed as the head of the Department of Improvement of Andijan on August 17, was dismissed shortly after his appointment. This information was reported by a source from QALAMPIR.UZ.

According to the source, Rahmatullaev's dismissal was due to health issues, leading to his removal through the appropriate decision-making process.

Dilmurod Rahmatullaev has held various positions throughout his career. He previously led the regional public education department and served as the governor of Andijan City from 2016 to 2019. He gained notoriety online in the fall of 2017 after an audio recording in which he used inappropriate language to insult the heads of several educational institutions in Andijan city went viral. In December of that year, he was fined 30 times the minimum wage by a court decision.

In April 2018, he was reprimanded by the Prime Minister for compelling employees of budgetary organizations, including those from preschool educational institutions, to purchase flowers and tree seedlings from entrepreneurs at inflated prices for the beautification of city streets.

In August 2019, a video featuring Dilmurod Rahmatullaev was circulated, sparking widespread discussion.

"I believe this tarnishes the reputation of the city of Andijan, the region, and its leadership. I denounce and condemn it," Rahmatullaev stated at the time.

The governor of the Andijan region, Shuhratbek Abdurahmanov, expressed disapproval of Rahmatullaev's performance, highlighting that he had issued multiple warnings. Additionally, it was later revealed that Rahmatullaev had signed documents in approximately 30 cases that violated legal requirements.
