The worker of “Uzmetkombinat” hanged himself in the warehouse

An employee of the "Uzmetkombinat" joint-stock company, located in Bekabod, Tashkent region, hanged himself, as reported by the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office, Hayat Shamsutdinov, to QALAMPIR.UZ.

The incident occurred on April 17 around 09:00 when 53-year-old K.Sh. committed suicide by hanging himself in the warehouse of the Navli rolling department at his workplace, which belongs to "Uzmetkombinat." According to the preliminary report of the forensic examination, the cause of death was mechanical asphyxiation due to compression of the neck organs with a splinter.

Based on references No. 17 and 21 of the multidisciplinary polyclinic of the city, it was found that the man was not on the list of psychiatrists and narcologists. The deceased, who worked as a welding master, was married and had 2 children.

In response to the situation, an application was sent to the State Labor Inspection under the Regional Poverty Alleviation and Employment Department to assess compliance with labor protection regulations. The city prosecutor, the investigator of the city prosecutor's office, and other members of the investigative team visited the scene of the incident.

An investigation is currently underway pending further inquiry.

It's worth noting that on April 8, another man hanged himself and died in a hospital in the Namangan region.
