From January 1, 2025, the fare for a single passenger on Tashkent’s public transport system, including buses and the metro, has been officially set at 3,000 sums. This decision was signed by the Tashkent city mayor on December 13.

However, the fare will remain unchanged at 1,700 sums for passengers using electronic payment systems, such as transport or bank cards. Notably, the practice of paying in cash directly on buses will be discontinued.

To pay with cash, passengers will need to purchase single-use tickets from info kiosks and payment devices installed near or at bus stops throughout Tashkent.

Additionally, new multi-use tariff plans will be introduced, offering options valid for 2, 5, and 7 days, providing flexibility for regular commuters.

It is worth recalling that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev previously highlighted the need to reduce inconveniences for citizens. He announced plans to implement a unified social card system, which would replace multiple existing documents and streamline public services.
