Two MPs from UzLiDeP were elected as deputy speakers

3929Deputies Mavluda Khojayeva and Rahimjon Hakimov have been elected as Deputy Speakers. This was announced on November 18 during the first organizational session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Chairman of the Council of Political Parties, Aktam Khaitov, read out the decision of the Council of Representatives of Political Parties.
According to him, MP Mavluda Khojayeva, elected from UzLiDeP, was nominated as the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and secured her position through voting.
Following this, deputy Rahimjon Hakimov, also elected from UzLiDeP, was nominated as the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber and was likewise elected through voting.
For context, under the Law "On the Regulations of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan," the Deputy Speakers of the Legislative Chamber are elected by the chamber based on recommendations from the Council of Representatives of Political Parties.
This law stipulates that the number of Deputy Speakers of the Legislative Chamber should not exceed two.
