1525Bakhtiyor Ibragimov has officially become Uzbekistan’s first Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Slovakia. Based in Vienna, he presented his credentials to Slovak President Peter Pellegrini at a ceremony held in Bratislava’s “Grassalkovich Palace.”
Following the ceremonial presentation, discussions were held to assess the current state of Uzbekistan-Slovakia relations and explore prospects for strengthening cooperation.
"Both sides highlighted that bilateral relations have reached a new phase of development in recent years. They expressed satisfaction with the planned political, economic, and cultural initiatives scheduled for this year, which aim to deepen collaboration between the two nations," the report states.
It is noteworthy that earlier this year, in January, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov also presented his credentials to Albanian President Bajram Begaj, serving as Uzbekistan’s ambassador to that country as well.
