The Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia has announced a new initiative to issue entry visas in electronic form for citizens of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the 'Saudi Gazette.'

It is noted that Uzbeks can now apply for a tourist visa to the kingdom electronically or by entering the international ports of KSA.

A tourist visa allows citizens to visit different regions of the kingdom and perform the Umrah pilgrimage. However, this visa does not grant the right to perform the Hajj or work and live in the kingdom.

According to visa regulations, tourists must adhere to all applicable rules and regulations while in Saudi Arabia, including carrying identification documents.

The cost of obtaining a visa online is $146. The Saudi Arabia eVisa is a one-year, multiple-entry visa that permits tourists to stay for up to 90 days. When the e-visa expires, it needs to be renewed for a new period.

It was also added that this initiative is valid for citizens of Azerbaijan, Albania, South Africa, Georgia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and the Maldives.

For your information, this opportunity was previously available only to citizens of the CIS countries, including Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan.
