Uzbeks are facing challenges entering Russia, according to a report from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia.
The embassy has recently received numerous complaints from Uzbek citizens about lengthy checks and difficulties when entering Russia or transiting through Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow.
To address these issues, the embassy has appealed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for clarification.
“Additionally, the consular department of the Uzbek Embassy is in regular contact with the border control service at Sheremetyevo airport,” the report states.
During his visit to Uzbekistan, Russian President Vladimir Putin pledged to use all available means to ensure fair working conditions for Uzbek citizens in Russia.
