Uzbekistan announces public holidays for Nawruz

Uzbeks will have three days off in celebration of Nawruz, the Ministry of Justice has announced.
The official holidays are as follows:
- March 21 (Friday): Nawruz holiday – a public holiday for everyone.
- March 22 (Saturday): A day off for employees with a five-day workweek; a working day for those with a six-day workweek.
- March 23 (Sunday): A regular day off.
Additionally, it was previously reported that spring vacation for secondary school students in Uzbekistan will begin on March 21 and last for seven calendar days. Since March 21 falls on a Friday, the last day of the third quarter in schools will be Thursday, March 20. Classes for the fourth quarter will resume on Friday, March 28.
